Illnesses that qualify for a medicinal marijuana card in Colorado include primarily: Epilepsy, Chron’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Glaucoma, HIV/Aids, Cancer, chronic pain, and other debilitating conditions/illnesses. These however are not the only qualifying illnesses however so please contact a qualified physician to see if you qualify to become a medicinal marijuana patient. Caregivers are allowed in the State of Colorado. The said caregiver is required to be at least 18 years old. A patient may only have one registered caregiver at any given time. Also if a patient has someone registered as their primary caregiver they MAY NOT be a registered caregiver for any other patient. Additionally any registered caregiver may be registered for no more than five qualified patients.
Qualified patients or their caregiver are allowed to possess at the maximum 2 ounces of medical cannabis, and are legally permitted to cultivate up to six cannabis plants. Amendment 20 also established a confidential patient registry which has the power to issue I.D. cards.
